Ground Hog Day. Kicking the can. The two phrases that we hear over and over in describing the lack of leadership in both business and politics.
One of the reasons behind the “kick the can” theory is to give each side more time to come to an agreement. That’s what shipping insiders are hoping with the longshoremen negotiations.
Shipping insiders tell me they hope leadership will prevail and compromise will be made and a deal will be formally agreed upon before the February sixth deadline. If you missed any of my reports you can check them out here.
